Dr. Vered Gazit

Dr. Vered Gazit is the physician co-lead with the IWK Health Centre Simulation Program and a member of the SimEd Network Operation Committee. She has been involved in simulation since 2005 and was fortunate to be trained by two of the world leaders institutes in Simulation-Based Medical: the Israeli Center for Medical Simulation (MSR) and Institute for Medical Simulation – Center for Medical Simulation, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Gazit has been co-leading the development of the simulation instructor courses in Halifax since the first course in 2010. Her main interest is using medical simulation as a tool to improve patient safety, team work and resuscitation skills. She is an Associate Professor in the Emergency Department, Dalhousie University Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, completed her residency in pediatrics in Israel before moving on to complete her pediatric emergency medicine training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
