    Robert Munro is currently an Incident Director for the Manitoba COVID-19 Unified Incident Management System for Manitoba’s Health System. He compliments this position with 37 years of health system experience in the areas of Heath Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Service Manager, and as a Paramedic involved in all types of emergencies and disasters. In his new role with Shared Health as well as his most recent role at the Office of Disaster Management as a Disaster Management Specialist he managed provincial level emergencies including floods, fires, tornadoes, First Nations community and health facility evacuations and drug shortages. His current portfolio includes Incident Management Systems, CSA Z1600, accreditation review, medical surge capacity related to large scale disasters, as well as GIS tools that aid in Situational Awareness, and the planning and response of these types of disasters. Robert, is an international speaker presenting disaster management topics across North America, Iceland and Asia. He has a Master’s Degree in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University.
