Joanna Noble

Lead, Clinical Risk, Healthcare Safety and Risk Management

Joanna is the Lead, Clinical Risk, Healthcare Safety and Risk Management at the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC). She has over 20 years’ experience in patient safety, risk, quality, nursing and insurance, and contributes regularly to external forums, publications and committee on diverse risk and safety issues.

Joanna leads the translation of claims data into patient safety knowledge and the dissemination of this knowledge to healthcare organizations, practitioners and other stakeholders. She frequently contributes to external forums and publications with a focus on obstetrics and midwifery.

In 2016, Joanna was selected to be a member of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science Faculty. Joanna was appointed cochair of the Health Standards Organization’s Perinatal Technical Committee in 2018. She received her Master of Science Healthcare Quality at Queen’s University in 2019 and is the former Board Chair for the Scarborough Women Centre.
