Jordan Willcox is the Senior Risk Advisor at the University Health Network in Toronto. In this role, he has responsibility for advising and implementing the organization’s enterprise risk management program and strategy. Prior to this, he worked at the William Osler Health System where he developed and implemented the organization’s approach and strategy for enterprise risk management. Jordan also worked at Guelph General Hospital where he worked on projects related to patient experience, quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
Jordan has also worked closely with the Health Insurance Reciprocal of Canada as a member of their Integrated Risk Management Advisory Group for the past four years and developed best practices around the governance of risk management in healthcare organizations.
Jordan holds an academic appointment with the University of Guelph as an Adjunct Professor where he teaches students about healthcare quality, safety, and risk management. He holds a BSc, MSc, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Guelph and an MSc (Quality Improvement and Patient Safety) from the Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.
