Lawyer specializing in corporate/commercial law, intellectual property Law, employment law and charitable and not-for-profit law. After a successful career as a private practice lawyer with the Bay Street firm of WeirFoulds LLP, joined The Hospital For Sick Children Foundation as its General Counsel with responsibilities for overseeing and managing the Foundation`s Legal Department. As General Counsel I am responsible for working with senior management to manage all facets of the Foundation’s legal needs, including providing legal advice and services, providing corporate governance advice, drafting and revising agreements, providing employment law advice, developing and revising the Foundation’s policies, establishing and managing the Foundation’s precedent system, managing the Foundation’s foreign entities, outside counsel management, litigation management, and serving as the Foundation’s Privacy Officer. As Chief Risk Officer, I developed an Enterprise Risk Management system for the Foundation and now am responsible for its effective implementation.

A graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce, a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School with an LL.B, he is a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario. He holds the ICD.D designation, having graduated from the Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.

Currently the Chair of the Board of the Workman Arts Project of Ontario, a registered charity that assists artist with lived experience affiliated with CAMH.
