Rania graduated from the University of Toronto with a Specialist in Psychology. She worked as a Research Assistant with the former Addiction Research Foundation and then joined the Back on Track Program at CAMH co-leading the launch of Ontario’s Remedial Measures Program for Convicted Impaired Drivers. After completing her Master of Business Administration, Rania worked in various leadership roles across the organization including; Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Operational Readiness leading preparedness activities for CAMH’s Phase 1B Redevelopment.
Subsequently, during her time as Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Rania developed and implemented the Enterprise Risk Management program including a governance and reporting structure involving Senior Leadership and Board committees. In her current role as Director of Risk, Rania has led the migration towards a more integrated approach to risk management across the organization and the creation of new incident review protocols and tools that further allow the assimilation of recommendations and risk mitigation strategies. Rania is passionate about raising awareness about risk and helping teams learn to embrace risk management as a tool to enhance their regular operational planning.
